Raised in a joke-cracking family, Dulcé Sloan was introduced to standup comedy at the Laughing Skull Lounge in Atlanta. She also attributes the Laughing Skull as the place where she honed her craft, which just landed her as the newest correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.”
She made her debut last week and spoke with "City Lights" host Lois Reitzes about what she has planned for her time on the show.
"I want to make sure I have a balance," Sloan said. "I want to be able to have those heavy political pieces but I also want to do pieces that are just fun."
To catch Sloan on television, “The Daily Show” airs daily (obviously) on Comedy Central at 11 p.m.
