Known most famously as the Fonz on sitcom “Happy Days,” Henry Winkler is also 10 books into his children’s book series “Here’s Hank” that he co-writes with Lin Oliver. Their latest book is “Here’s Hank: Hooray! My Butt Left the Bench!”
The main character in the series is elementary schooler Hank Zipzer. And, like Winkler, Hank has dyslexia. The books feature specialized font for children with dyslexia and also teach lessons about diversity, inclusion, bullying, and in this most recent book, how to be part of a team even if you aren’t that great at basketball.
Winkler spoke with Lois Reitzes about the new book on "City Lights."
Winkler is in town for the AJC Decatur Book Festival as the Kidnote Speaker. That address is sold out, but he will also be signing books at the Atlanta Journal Constitution booth tomorrow, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
