Colin Warner spent 21 years in prison wrongfully convicted of murder, and his best friend Carl "KC" King devoted his life to proving Warner’s innocence because, as he says in the film, “It’s not just about you. It’s bigger than that.”

Pianist and composer Malek Jandali started two-week festival Pianos for Peace in 2015.

He’s best known as a pianist and composer, but the Arab Spring in 2012 and the ongoing Syrian civil war have focused his musical gifts on activism and humanitarian work.

Now in its third year, the program has expanded its partnerships and the number of pianos. Fifty will be placed in spaces across Atlanta, accessible for the public and available for anyone to play.

The historic Plaza Theatre is Atlanta’s only independent movie theater, and every year it’s the site of films festivals, special screenings of locally produced films, classics and, of course, live performances of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

The movie theater just announced a new owner, Chris Escobar. He’s the director of the Atlanta Film Society, which runs the Atlanta Film Festival.
