The group has been around for 10 years and released their acclaimed album “It’s About Time” in 2012.  They have new music coming out this fall, and in the meantime, they're busy with shows from festivals to a concert celebrating 60 years of Stax Records in September.

Atlanta’s Onyxcon is one of many conventions that highlight and celebrate the African Diaspora in comics, movies and related media. The first one started in 1993 in Chicago, called the Black Age of Comics Convention, and that and others around the country inspired local artist and actor Joseph R. Wheeler III to start his own.
