  • 2:20: Alan Begner, attorney, and Kirsten Widner, child advocate attorney and policy consultant, talk about Safe Harbor legislation, an amendment that would create a fund towards resources for children who have been sexually exploited;
  • 21:45: Carol Pandak, director of the PolioPlus program at Rotary International, talks about what efforts are underway to eradicate polio;
  • 31:48: "Morning Edition" host Denis O’Hayer talks with WABE’s political reporter Johnny Kauffman about this year’s legislative contests;
  • 36:46: Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves talks about some of Fulton County’s ballot issues.

Editor’s Note: Fulton County Commission Chairman John Eaves incorrectly stated e-commerce distributors are currently taxed. During the 2016 session of the Georgia General Assembly, legislators adopted HB 935, which gives counties the opportunity to allow voters to decide whether to extend existing Freeport exemption to e-commerce centers.  If approved by voters, the expanded Freeport Exemption would allow inventory of e-commerce distribution centers to be exempted from Fulton County ad valorem (property) taxes.
