Earth, Wind and Fire will hit the road this summer, including a stop in metro Atlanta, with some classic hits, a new touring partner and lingering heartache.

The hits include "September," ''Shining Star" and "Boogie Wonderland," while they'll share the stage with the band Chic, featuring Nile Rodgers. The sadness comes from the loss last year of their founder Maurice White.

Director David Lynch has returned to television. Showtime brought back his cult favorite "Twin Peaks" at the end of May – the show picks up 25 years after the original series came to an end. With this revived fervor for Lynch's altogether strange take on the world, Atlanta musician Jeffrey Butzer is paying tribute to Lynch's music at the EARL.

A funeral for rock star Gregg Allman will be held Saturday in Macon, where The Allman Brothers Band first won fame.

Local news media report that a private memorial is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel. Allman will be buried near his late brother, founding Allman Brothers guitarist Duane Allman, and late bandmate Berry Oakley at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Fans are expected to line the procession route from Snow's to the cemetery.
